Drawings by Camille Corot in May at the Louvre museum
An exhibition of drawings by Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot is planned by the Louvre museum at Paris from may 31 till august 27. This event will show an selection of works, albums and sheets, resulting from the important fund of the institution. The first part of this exhibition will be dedicated to the italian journeys of the artist with some pencil, ink and charcoal drawings for landscapes animated by figures or silhouettes and portraits. The second part will present Corot’s french drawings with, in particular, the presentation of works on colored papers. These presented albums, little know, contain as well some reflexions of the artist about his art.
Camille Corot, dessins du Louvre. 31 may - 27 august 2007 . Musée du Louvre. Admission with general museum ticket. Opening hours : wednesday-monday, 9am-6pm (open late wednesday and friday : 10pm).
